there was a quote that caught quite the attention from a lot of my photography friends the other day on facebook. It originated with a photographer and was passed around with permission. It's one that makes you think.
"If you have not had family pictures taken within the past 3 years, promise me right now that tomorrow morning, you will find someone to do it. I don't care if it's a neighbor, I don't care if it's a portrait studio, I don't care if it's a tripod and a remote. Just do it. We have no guarantees in life, but at least we can have the photos to prove that we were here, we were together, and we were happy."
It made me think of this family
you see, a few days after booking this session, she was admitted to the hospital.
a few days after that, they heard the words that noone wants to hear
about their mom
or their grandma
I can not imagine how hard the next few months and weeks will be
as they fight this battle
but in these few moments,
they were together.
and they were happy
It was an honor to capture these moments for this family. They are in my heart. They are in my prayers
